Alamo.com is one of the bigger names in car rental services. However, at the end of the day their service just doesn t add up

Not our top choice

If you re looking to rent a car we recommend looking somewhere else other than Alamo.com.

The site is basically well designed but we felt it was a little too cluttered. We would have expected a cleaner interface in this travel guide.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded. .

When we set out to rent a car from Alamo.com, the navigation wasn t too bad but it took some time for the pages to load and generally it just wasn t that speedy a process

When talking about car rental comparisons they re not the top brand that s enjoying flocks of returning customers. However, those who are looking for very few bells and whistles and a mediocre service will probably return.

You can certainly find value here but we ve come across an unusual number of complaints when it comes to Alamo.com which makes us a bit skeptical. Our personal experience sure wasn t anything to write home about but all in all from our research we say shop elsewhere for better value when looking to rent a car.

Making a booking online How easy is it to make a booking online or to amend an existing booking. How flexible are the search options? .

You can reserve a rental car online, which is a perk. However, their system still seems to have some bugs and some people show up at the airport to find a missing reservation.
