How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

A lot of show,but no go

While www.cheapflights.com might have once been the pioneer in online travel price searches, they've sunk to the bottom of the food chain and other sites offer better and faster services.

Sometimes simple is good but not when it comes to booking travel. Cheapflights.com doesn't have enough search parameters that you can choose from right at the start so it makes searching more time consuming.

Where in the world can I go? We grade the airlines on the number and range of destinations bookable online; are they global enough for us?.

Cheapflights.com doesn't allow you to book flights, they only show you flights. So, while they do offer virtually all possible destinations from hundreds of airlines, you are still one step away from being able to actually book your ticket. In today's market, it's just an unnecessary waste of time as other services simply do this better.

Are you saving money? Booking direct with the airline should save you money, but we compare to other airlines running the same route, and the bookers to find out if this site holds true to that..

You can find value here as you'll be able to find cheap flights but a lot of the searches we did were incorrect (out of date, no longer valid, etc.,) Therefore, when it comes to value for your money we say go elsewhere for faster and more reliable service.

Cheapflights.com only shows you where to find cheap flights, therefore it doesn't offer online check-in.

What kind of deals do these sites offer? Are there last minute specials to be had, and what about a winter clearance? We evaluate the frequency and decency of their deals..

We couldn't find many cheap flights in their special offers section we generally found hotel deals. Don't you need the flight first An expensive flight with cheap hotels still isn't a bargain vacation.

Do they meet your needs? What are the advance search options on the site and how flexible or specific do they allow you to be? Can you view flights in a calendar view, and can you search for a specific flight time?.

There aren't any exciting search parameters and the results you get so often didn't match the actual offers, we felt that the site really wasn't worth searching anything on advanced or otherwise.
