Cheaptickets.com is a fairly popular online travel site used to find cheap flights and more for your trip. In our opinion, it's big name got to it's head and their service just isn't up to par with their competition.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

Cheaptickets.com might have a big name, but they don't have much game. If you're looking for a complete service that allows you to book your cheap flights both easily and cost-effectively, try somewhere else

Navigation was fairly boring. Nothing at first glance caught our eyes and frankly we weren't impressed by the speed or user-friendly interface (cheaptickets.com lacks both).

Where in the world can I go? We grade the airlines on the number and range of destinations bookable online; are they global enough for us?.

They offer just as many destinations and different airlines to choose from as the competition but overall we felt that they lacked when it came to a good selection of international destinations.

Are you saving money? Booking direct with the airline should save you money, but we compare to other airlines running the same route, and the bookers to find out if this site holds true to that..

Ticket prices were the same as we saw elsewhere but in line with our other flops, this site just took up too much of our time without offering us enough in return. Their competition has us spoiled... what can we say

Can I check-in online? Does the website give you the chance or have links to check-in online, and more importantly, how easy is the process?.

While you would only be able to check in online via the airline, not cheaptickets.com you can check your flight status from the site. So, while it's still not that much of a redeeming factor we will nod our collective hat.

What kind of deals do these sites offer? Are there last minute specials to be had, and what about a winter clearance? We evaluate the frequency and decency of their deals..

While they're not advertised in a very visually attractive way, cheaptickets.com does have a decent selection of cheap flights, hotel and car rental deals. We still prefer an all around better service PLUS the special offers.

What flight clubs are on offer? How do these sites treat their regular customers? Points for handling pre-flight requests, giving us the VIP treatment, and frequent flyer bonuses.

For $11.99 a month cheaptickets.com offers a Gold Members club where those who pay gain access to better deals, a 5% discount and no booking fees. Considering no one has booking fees and you should be able to find better cheap flights somewhere else if they're available here, we say go elsewhere and spend the 12 bucks on lunch.
