Booking.com is a subsidiary site of Priceline.com that operates as one of Europe s biggest online hotel booking services. Sounds impressive but it didn t live up to expectations.

Priceline moves from flights to hotel bookings. Big site with big ideas, but bland execution.

The design seems simple at first but in reality it s just really hard to find what you want at a good price. If you re looking to book a room at a real bargain, look elsewhere.

Making a booking online How easy is it to make a booking online or to amend an existing booking. How flexible are the search options? .

There was a lot to choose from when booking a reservation, however the prices were not competitive and the variation of price levels was poor. Its better to move else where rather than spoiling your trip.

There is no original content on Booking.com. It s almost as if you were booking a flight instead of booking a room. Wonder why that is.

Most of the hotels listed had prices suitable for a family vacation or even something more extravagant, but young or budget travellers will find the selection lacking.

The reviews on Booking.com all seemed seeded the glowing hotel reviews seem to have that marketing sheen we ve seen in too many P.R. briefs.

Can you see what you are booking? Are there enough images of the place, are they decent enough quality and are there maps to see exactly where you are booking into. .

The selection of photos on Booking.com are small and look as if they have been pulled from a stock photo repository they didn t offer any good information on our destinations of choice.
