Places Online has a great listing of hotels, but it falls short on the details namely, there are none. Without any serious content or reviews, this site doesn t offer much to the traveller looking to book a hotel online.

Places Online organizes all of its listings into a confusing patchwork of Top Cities in Europe and World . For some reason, Venice (Italy) was listed under United States. The navigation is sub-par and incorrect information is always just a total deal-breaker.

Making a booking online How easy is it to make a booking online or to amend an existing booking. How flexible are the search options? .

Placing a reservation at placesonline.com is fairly straightforward but the cluttered design made it difficult to figure out where and how to book. They had drop down menu options instead of the standard and more user-friendly calendar option.

Help in finding what you want With so many hotels to choose from, how does the site help you pick what is right for you? Are there any site favorites or recommendations?.

The content on the site is extremely spotty and poorly written. Travel Guides average 20-30 words per subject. We personally feel that it's more important to have access to a bit more information before planning my trip.

The range of accommodation on offer Does this site cater for everyone, from 2 star to 5, what different types of accommodation can you find and is there plenty to choose from?.

The listings all seemed to offer only the priciest rooms available in our test searches we weren't impressed by their relatively small range. This isn't the best place for budget travellers or anyone looking for the best deal in town.

Quality and impartiality of reviews How accurate is their hotel information and are there links to user reviews so that you can get the real picture? .

The site has a system for reviews in place, but nobody has submitted any. Simple as that. Can anyone say Flop Oh yeah, we did.
